For fall/winter 2020, Private Policy aims to spark urgency in people to unearth facts about the medicine we are consuming, and an unjust industry that continues to plague Americans. The potential harmful remedy to just take “One Pill a Day” utters to the tune of an eerie soundtrack as 31 looks came down the runway.
Through each of the gender neutral looks, the designers break the illusion of “mystic authority” that medical professionals hold by incorporating elements from their uniforms; including lab coats, latex gloves, pen protectors, and nurse scrubs in a palette of muted tones. The subtle streetwear attitude, along with a few touches of graphical motifs, seal and deliver the message with a youthful and comedic tone.
