Tokyo-bred designer IKUMI could not have picked a better setting for her SS17 runway show. We were honored to attend her NYFW debut held at the 100+ year old Grace Church. The single spotlight at the head of the runway, combined with with the shadowed pews and the sound of a single gong ringing provided the perfect eerie atmosphere for the contrasting ensembles.
